چکیده

Paediatric robotic surgery is gaining popularity across multiple disciplines and offers technical advantages in complex procedures requiring delicate dissection. To date, limited publications describe its perioperative management children. We retrospectively analysed the prospectively collected anaesthetic data of first 200 robotic-assisted our paediatric university hospital as part a multidisciplinary program from October 2016 to February 2019. Anaesthetic technique monitoring were based on guidelines initially derived adult data. examined adverse events particular outcomes including blood loss analgesic requirements. Fifty-one different surgical performed patients aged 4 months 18 years (weight 5–144 kg). Operative times averaged h conversion rate was 3%. Neither arm nor positional injury occurred. Limited access patient did not lead any complication. Hypothermia frequent mostly self-limiting. Negative physiological effects due positioning, body cavity insufflation or manifesting significant respiratory haemodynamic changes occurred 14% 11% patients, respectively. Overt haemorrhage complicated one case. Eighty per cent 170 require level 3 analgesics postoperatively, while thoracic certain tumour cases had greater These preliminary results show that well tolerated with low bleeding risk major intraoperative are uncommon. A consistent approach effective broad range procedures. Analgesic requirements excluding some abdominal cases. Future studies should focus rehabilitative aspects technique.

Management of Perinatal Testicular Torsion: A Single Centre Experience

Perinatal testicular torsion (PTT) is a rare entity. The management of PTT is controversial, due to the low viability of the testis and the possibility of bilateral torsion. This is a review of our experience with six cases of PTT, highlighting diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties of this condition.

Passing from open to robotic surgery for dismembered pyeloplasty: a single centre experience

BACKGROUND The treatment of symptomatic uretropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) has evolved towards minimal invasive endourologic and laparoscopic techniques. Robotic assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty has achieved outcomes comparable to those corresponding to open and laparoscopic techniques. The objective of this work is to demonstrate that the transition between open to robotic surgeries is ...

Reconstructive and Oncoplastic Surgery for Giant Phyllodes Tumors: A Single Centre\'s Experience

Phyllodes tumors are biphasic fibroepithelial neoplasms of the breast. While the surgical management of these relatively uncommon tumors has been addressed in the literature, few reports have commented on the surgical approach to tumors greater than ten centimetres in diameter – the giant phyllodes tumor. We report a case of giant breast tumors and discuss the techniques utilized for pre-...
